You’ll depart from the Ranch and drive to Durango, where our certified rafting company will fit you with PFDs and helmets and provide safety and paddling instructions. Then, hop into your raft and navigate the Animas River, splashing and paddling through rapids like Smelter, Sawmill, and Santa Rita. Your experienced guide will ensure a safe and unforgettable adventure, sharing fascinating history and fun facts along the way.
Whether you dive into the cool mountain waters or stay dry to enjoy the stunning scenery, this trip promises fun for the whole family. High water in early summer brings bigger waves and extra excitement, while late summer offers calmer waters for a relaxing float. For safety, young children may be asked to walk around more intense rapids during peak flows with our staff supervision.
