Horseback riding is a highlight for many guests at The Majestic Dude Ranch, with all rides and activities included in your stay. Our skilled wranglers work personally with each rider to deliver an authentic western experience. From beginners to advanced riders, there’s a trail suited to every skill level.
Our certified and experienced wranglers are no strangers to showing you the ropes. No matter your experience, we have the perfect horse for you! With a herd of quality horses, we will match you with your ideal steed for the week. Enjoy scenic trail rides through mountain terrain, optional fee lessons, a mini-cattle drive, team penning, and much more. Each day, wranglers will assist you in picking rides and activities tailored to your skill level and goals.
Even the most seasoned riders will find plenty to love at Majestic! With top-notch horses and a variety of trails, we’ve got a little something for everyone. Up at 8,000 feet, rides gradually increase in length and challenge as the week goes on.
Ride as much or as little as you want — we run multiple rides every day, including half- and full-day adventures with lunch on the trail. Our wranglers are happy to accommodate most requests to suit your skills and interests.
Early in the week, our wranglers are always available to chat with you about your goals and make sure you get the most out of your time in the saddle. Whatever you want to do, we’ll make it happen — after all, we never say “No”!

Keeping safety our top priority, we offer riders of all levels opportunities to challenge themselves while ensuring a secure and enjoyable experience. Our personable wranglers work closely with you to make sure your rides are both memorable and safe.
Kids ages 7 and up can join our trail rides once approved by our wranglers to ensure they’re confident handling their horse. For younger riders or beginners, we offer fun arena lessons. Riders 12 and under are required to wear a helmet and are not permitted to participate in the cattle drive for safety reasons.
For the safety of our horses, we have a 250-pound weight limit for riders. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to give us a call — we’re happy to provide additional information to ensure a great experience for everyone.
